POS Vs POW
« on: February 06, 2018, 02:18:27 pm »
In Proof of stake, those with a larger share own a lot of power. This usually begs the question "how decentralized would this platform be if a few individuals control everything?". Perhaps this problem explains why only a few blockchains use this method.

Proof of work, on the other hand, is where you get rewarded once you prove that you've done some work. This method is the medicine to frequent blockchain attacks and centralization issues. Bitcoin is one of the cryptocurrencies using this method and therefore more preferred than POS.

ETH will be switched from POW to POS. I highly anticipate how it would turn out and how it would affect the price of ETH. Perhaps after eth have switched to POS, we will be able to see what the masses would  prefer of these two.
